I climbed Kilimanjaro in Feb 2000, having purchased tickets against others’ opinions due to the Y2K paranoia. For anyone planning to go, pack your suitcase with clothing/shoes and leave your belongings. Buy handmade African items for the trip home.

My guess is she doesn’t make it. She actually has no business on the mountain without doing some training. Then again, when you have a film crew and a village of porters at your feet, I guess she has a cushion of safety.
